You’ve been there. That place in time that you can look back on and say with utmost confidence, “God was there!”

My dear friends, I have something pounding in my chest that I have to unleash as we have just experienced one of those moments that will quite possibly go down in the annuls of time as a defining moment of our fellowship of churches and more specifically, ‘youth culture’ as we know it today.

Vision For Youth and ABWE have partnered in sharing a vision for International youth and short term teen missions trips. About twenty of us gathered in Harrisburg, PA for a brainstorming session on what we see God doing around our nation and around the world in this phenomena that has taken the church by storm and trying to harness the masses into an organized network and team approach and ask God if we can be a part of His mission.

We heard from people like Michael Loftis (president of ABWE), Mel Walker (president of Vision For Youth), Glenn Amos, Cheryl Fawcett and others who shared their hearts and vision. To narrow it down let me tell you this, at the end of day, when we should have been getting tired from all talking we had done, we were invigorated, energized and ready for more but the day was late and Thanksgiving was calling and the need to get on the road. However, I leaned over to my dear friend Tim Ahlgrim and said what was so vibrant on my heart, because I so vibrantly feel this is the spark that will ignite the engine, “Remember this moment.”

I don’t know where God is going to take all this vision and energy, but I for one came away moved and invigorated to be on God’s team and feeling His call. “Remember this moment.”
